Our Vision

Our vision for Stratford Gasworks is to transform an underutilised former Gasworks into a sustainable, community-focused and welcoming neighbourhood that combines new homes, green spaces and connections. In doing so, St William want to help deliver the physical legacy of the Olympic Games and contribute to the transformation of the area.

The Site

Stratford Gasworks is a 2.2 acre site situated between Rick Roberts Way and Abbey Lane in Stratford, E15. The site was formerly used by National Grid for the storage and production of gas but has been underutilised for a number years following the ceasing of these operations.

National Grid are currently undertaking some decommissioning and remediation works before the site will be transferred to St William and made available for redevelopment.
